Centre for Oncology and Immunology Limited
The long-term objective of the Centre for Oncology and Immunology is to employ novel functional screens, animal and cell models including organoids, immuno-oncology approach, as well as advanced genomic and proteomic techniques down to single cell resolution to identify novel “druggable” cancer targets for hard-to-treat malignancies. The ultimate goal is to develop therapeutics against these targets and to conduct clinical trials evaluating these drugs along with biomarkers with an eye to their eventual commercialization worldwide. Success in this venture will address pressing unmet medical needs and establish Hong Kong as a leading hub of innovative anti-cancer and immuno-oncology drug development.
Job responsibilities
Applications are invited for appointment as Assistant BD Manager / BD Officer (Ref.: 103291), to commence as soon as possible, on a fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and alliances to expand market reach;

Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs;

Negotiate contracts and agreements to close deals effectively;

Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and threats;

Oversee and manage budget planning for business development activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximum ROI on campaigns and initiatives;

Plan, coordinate, and execute event-based campaigns across various channels, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, and promotional events, to enhance brand visibility and generate leads;

Provide feedback to the Chief Operating Officer based on client interactions and market insights;

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status;

Lead and mentor junior team members or sales staff to achieve team targets;

Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products and services to effectively promote them;

Foster long-term relationships with clients to generate repeat business and referrals;

Prepare sales decks and presentation materials;

Report regularly on sales performance, market conditions, and business development activities to Chief Operating Officer.
Qualifications and skills

A bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines;

At least 8 years of post-qualification experience in business development sector, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity;

Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound business judgements;

Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders;

Strong business and commercial background with good network with local and international enterprises is desirable;

Strong marketing background with knowledge of digital marketing, branding, and market analysis;

Proactive, dynamic, mature with superior interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and external stakeholders and collaborators, with a strong teamwork attitude;

An excellent command of written and spoken English, with good presentation skills.
The appointees shall work in Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment as BD Officer.
Overseas graduates are welcome to apply, the qualification awarding institution should be the top 100 institutions for STEM-related subjects in QS/Shanghai Jiao Tong Uni/Times Higher Education world university rankings.
