The long-term objective of the Centre for Oncology and Immunology is to employ novel functional screens, animal and cell models including organoids, immune-oncology approach, as well as advanced genomic and proteomic techniques down to single cell resolution to identify novel “druggable” cancer targets for hard-to-treat malignancies. The ultimate goal is to develop therapeutics against these targets and to conduct clinical trials evaluating these drugs along with biomarkers with an eye to their eventual commercialization worldwide. Success in this venture will address pressing unmet medical needs and establish Hong Kong as a leading hub of innovative anti-cancer and immuno-oncology drug development.
Job Description & Qualification:
Applications are invited for appointment as Clerical Assistant (Ref: H03/2022/13), to commence as soon as possible, on a 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

Applicants should possess a recognized Higher Diploma/ Associate Degree/ Bachelor's degree, preferably with at least 1 year solid work experience in office administration within the education or health sector.
​
They should be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and positive attitude, while being able to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure to meet tight deadlines. A good command of English and Chinese (Mandarin); effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; as well as an appropriate level of IT skills (especially in Outlook, MS365, Excel, and Powerpoint) are essential. Applicants are also expected to be attentive to details and be able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently, with demonstrated competence in discharging complex clerical duties.

The appointee will join the Administrative team of a new R&D Centre in Hong Kong Science Park to assist with a wide range of clerical/administrative work and perform any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
