The long-term objective of the Centre for Oncology and Immunology is to employ novel functional screens, animal and cell models including organoids, immune-oncology approach, as well as advanced genomic and proteomic techniques down to single cell resolution to identify novel “druggable” cancer targets for hard-to-treat malignancies. The ultimate goal is to develop therapeutics against these targets and to conduct clinical trials evaluating these drugs along with biomarkers with an eye to their eventual commercialization worldwide. Success in this venture will address pressing unmet medical needs and establish Hong Kong as a leading hub of innovative anti-cancer and immuno-oncology drug development.
Job Description & Qualification:
Applications are invited for appointment as Executive Officer/Senior Project Specialist (Ref.: H03/2022/10), to commence as soon as possible, on a fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree, with at least 5 years’ solid administrative work experience and at least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a tertiary institution. They should have a good command of written and spoken English (with an overall band score of 7.5 or above in IELTS; or equivalent) and Chinese; strong communications, organizational and problem-solving skills; as well as an appropriate level of Human Resources management and leadership skills. They are also expected to have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision; and a good sense of tact in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues, including discreet handling of personnel and confidential files. The appointees are expected to provide organizational and administrative support to senior administrators and management of the Centre in various areas, and to execute duties in financial and human resources management, project management, stakeholder liaison, event planning, and general office administration.
