Centre for Oncology and Immunology Limited
The long-term objective of the Centre for Oncology and Immunology is to employ novel functional screens, animal and cell models including organoids, immuno-oncology approach, as well as advanced genomic and proteomic techniques down to single cell resolution to identify novel “druggable” cancer targets for hard-to-treat malignancies. The ultimate goal is to develop therapeutics against these targets and to conduct clinical trials evaluating these drugs along with biomarkers with an eye to their eventual commercialization worldwide. Success in this venture will address pressing unmet medical needs and establish Hong Kong as a leading hub of innovative anti-cancer and immuno-oncology drug development.
Job responsibilities
Applications are invited for appointment as Product Development Officer (Ref.: 103523), to commence as soon as possible, on a fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

Collaborate with R&D teams to understand and refine product features and go-to-market strategies;

Communicate scientific project outcomes and discoveries to non-scientific stakeholders effectively;

Conduct market research and develop sales presentations and marketing materials;

Utilize both online and offline channels to promote the products;

Connect and maintain good relationship with key stakeholders;

Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and risks;

Plan, coordinate, and execute event-based campaigns across various channels, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, and promotional events, to enhance brand visibility and generate leads;

Lead and mentor junior team members to meet team objectives;

Provide feedback to the Chief Operating Officer based on stakeholders’ interactions and market insights;

Report regularly on product development, market trend, and business activities to Chief Operating Officer.
Qualifications and skills

A master’s degree or above, preferably in Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines;

At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in biotechnology or drug discovery industries;

Strong understanding and experience in applying business design/design thinking to create innovative, user-oriented solutions;

Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make well-informed business decisions;

Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders;

Strong business and commercial background with good network with local and international enterprises is desirable;

Strong marketing background with knowledge of digital marketing, branding, and market analysis;

Proactive, dynamic, mature with superior interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and external stakeholders and collaborators, with a strong teamwork attitude;

An excellent command of written and spoken English, with good presentation skills.
The appointees shall work in Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. Applicants with more experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Product Development Manager.
Overseas graduates are welcome to apply, the qualification awarding institution should be the top 100 institutions for STEM-related subjects in QS/Shanghai Jiao Tong Uni/Times Higher Education world university rankings.
