Centre for Oncology and Immunology is honoured to be featured in the latest episode of the Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) programme "I&T New Era II"(創科新里程 II) supported by The Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) of the HKSAR Government.
Prof. Tak Mak, Co-Director of the Centre, was interviewed to explain the theories behind immunotherapy, and introduced how patient-derived organoids are used to develop personalized anti-cancer treatment/ medicine. This episode also gives insights on other techniques that the Centre will employ to identify novel “druggable” cancer targets, such as novel functional screens as well as genomic and multi-omics techniques.
