The Centre for Oncology and Immunology (COI) was proud to participate once again in the Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH) 2025, held in Hong Kong. As a hub for cutting-edge cancer and immunology research, we seized this opportunity to engage with global leaders, industry pioneers, and academic experts—fostering meaningful discussions and exploring potential collaborations to advance innovation in healthcare.

One of the highlights of our participation was the showcasing of the award-winning work of Professor Alan Wong. Professor Wong’s research focuses on developing and applying CRISPR-based tools for precision genome editing, aiming to identify novel therapeutic targets and create personalized cancer treatments. His work underscores COI’s commitment to translating scientific breakthroughs into tangible solutions for patients.

Engagements with pharmaceutical representatives, clinicians, and fellow researchers during the summit opened new avenues for collaboration, further amplifying the potential impact of Professor Wong’s innovations.

Beyond showcasing our research, COI actively connected with biotech innovators, investors, and policymakers to explore synergies in precision oncology and immunotherapy development. The summit served as a platform to strengthen existing partnerships and initiate dialogues with organizations that share our vision for transformative healthcare solutions.

ASGH 2025 reinforced the power of collaboration in accelerating medical progress. The connections made—from Professor Wong’s groundbreaking work to broader institutional partnerships—will continue to drive COI’s mission forward.

We thank the organizers and attendees for another inspiring summit and look forward to advancing these discussions into actionable outcomes in the year ahead.
