COI at HKU Innovation Week 2026: The Innovation Reef

This week we were delighted to participate in HKU Innovation week, the university’s annual flagship event bringing together people across the innovation and technology community to celebrate innovation and entrepreneurship.

The event showcased more than 120 projects and start-ups, each with a vision to transform research into meaningful societal impact. Among them, we presented Prof. Alan Wong’s next-generation gene editing platform, which supports the development of more efficient and precise CRISPR-Cas9 tools for genomic screening, gene therapies and cell therapies.

It was a pleasure to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new partners. We are grateful for the support that we have received in our endeavor to advance translational cancer research.
